REACHING OUT TO CHINA EXHIBITION
CELEBRATING 5 YEARS OF INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS’ PARTNERSHIP
Monday 3 – Friday 28 September, 10am – 5pm
Dugdale Centre, 39 London Road, Enfield EN2 6DS
The ‘Reaching Out to China’ exhibition celebrates five years of partnership between Winchmore School and the Experimental Campus of Shunde Number 1 Middle School, near Hong Kong.
As an Arts College and International School Winchmore School chose to mark our fifth anniversary with a special ‘China Partnership Showcase’ at the prestigious China Exchange, Soho.
The showcase involved, students from both schools presenting a rich variety performance for each other, which included songs from the musical ‘Billy Elliot’, as well as demonstrations of magic, poetry and Kung Fu.
Concluding the event, it was said ‘Can there be anything more convincing of the depth and power of our partnership than what we have seen today. Students from opposite ends of the earth giving their all to welcome, embrace and cherish each other’s lives, worlds, hopes and dreams. In an increasingly smaller and divided world, a world where politicians and diplomats struggle to find solutions, this exchange is bringing the world that much closer together, and lifelong friendships are being made’.
This exhibition includes film footage, booklets and photographs from student exchange visits including, the Reaching Out to China Showcase at the China Exchange. As well as capturing some very special highlights, we hope that it provides a fitting tribute which celebrates our partnership with China, and paves the way for even closer ties and greater success in future.
