Private viewing Saturday 13th July at 6pm
Natalie Robinson, an artist who grew up in Enfield, is proud to present her new exhibition at Dugdale Centre. “Expressions of Courage” is a collection of abstract paintings inspired and created in honour of her friend Maggie Robinson who passed away in December 2018 after a 3 year battle with cancer.
“My friend Maggie dedicated herself in so many ways to creativity. Her strength and acceptance during her battle with cancer became the catalyst for a collection of paintings celebrating her positivity and love of life. Cancer sufferers face each day with courage, optimism and grace. Expressions of Courage is a tribute to Maggie and all cancer sufferers undergoing treatment. A celebration of human courage and spirit. It is courage that makes us bold enough to venture into the unknown, patient in anticipation of the desired outcome, and persistent in the face of adversity.”
On each canvas, through the use of colour, light and texture Natalie invites us to see a world expressed through the power of abstraction.
“Through my art I’m seeking to create something meaningful and try to transmit optimism in the mind of the viewer.”
The proceeds of all paintings sold from the exhibition will go to Haematology Cancer Care UCLH Charity. HCC supports the clinical haematology service at UCLH which is the largest of its kind in Europe.
