Cuban Redd, performance name of Shirley E Mason, is happy to be back at the Dugdale Centre, Enfield with Performance Poetry from her collection throughout the years.
She shall be reading and performing original material with excerpts from her one woman shows – ‘Who Feelz It Knows It’ and ‘Utopia’.
There will be selections from her poetry, written to enable accessibility to all participants, whilst with ‘Face Front Inclusive Theatre’.
There shall also be newly written, as yet unheard, material and old familiar favourites.
Cuban promises to deliver a selection of inspirational, thought provoking rhythms and lyrics.
Cuban Redd was recently (August 2016) privileged to be one of the Judges at the BREAKOUT youth talent competition promoted by ‘Community Heart’ (London) an organisation that was set up to help and support young people reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Community Heart’s combined projects currently engage over three hundred young people per week.
‘An Evening with Cuban Redd’ shall be showcasing some of the successful young people from BREAKOUT including:
D’avion McKenzie-Durrant who with her beautiful smile and believable interpretation owns the stage even at such a young age
Nathaniel Xavier whose Spoken word/Rap is deep, conscious and inspired by his love of God;
Ellie Marie, who although seeming to be in her own bubble when performing graces the audience with a professionalism that is beyond her years and
Katie Gittins, whose humility and visionary voice fills the stage reaching into the hearts that need refreshing.
‘An Evening with Cuban Redd’ promises to be a memorable occasion.
Come and enjoy creating the memory.
